The region’s newest restaurant is proving a hit with customers as it forms a cult-like following much the same as its famous sister restaurant.
Peli’s opened on September 12 with the Mediterranean-inspired restaurant brought to life by the team behind Sum Yung Guys.
Located at Noosa Marina, chefs Matt Sinclair, Jeremiah Jones and Michael Rickard spent 18 months planning, building and designing menus for their newest project.

Peli’s general manager Matty Tucker told Sunshine Coast News diners had embraced the waterfront venue and were loving what the menu had to offer.
“We’ve been incredibly fortunate to receive a warm welcome from the Noosa community,” Mr Tucker said.
“The response has been overwhelmingly positive and we’re seeing a mix of locals and tourists come through our doors, which is exactly what we hoped for.
“Guests have especially enjoyed the relaxed yet vibrant vibe of the venue, and the feedback on the food has been fantastic.”
Mr Tucker said the menu drew inspiration from the Mediterranean coast, with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
“We wanted to showcase bold, bright flavours while keeping things approachable,” he said.
“Signature dishes like the charcoal-grilled chicken and house-made flatbread with taramasalata have been standout favourites.
“Our charcoal pit and woodfired oven has been a big hit.
“People have really embraced the Mediterranean theme, and our sardines as well as our mussels with saffron rice has also been extremely popular.
“We also find guests coming back for the burrata with pistachio pesto, which has become a bit of a must-try dish.”
Mr Tucker said Peli’s offered a laid-back, coastal atmosphere with a touch of sophistication.
“When you walk in, you’re greeted with natural textures, soft lighting and an open-air feel that brings the outside in,” he said.
“Whether guests are here for a casual lunch or a more intimate dinner, they’ll feel a seamless blend of comfort and style that complements the food.”

Peli’s is also available for weddings and private events, and has affiliated with Noosa wedding planner and stylist With You + Me.
“We have a beautiful private dining room that can host up to 40 people, and for larger events we can accommodate up to 120 guests across the entire restaurant,” Mr Tucker said.
“The waterfront setting, combined with our menu’s Mediterranean flair, makes it a unique and picturesque spot for celebrations.
“Our events team is hands-on in personalising each event to suit our clients’ visions, from tailored menus to custom decorations.”
Mr Tucker said this was just the beginning of the Peli’s journey and the team was excited to continuing delivering its offering to customers.
“We’re excited to continue evolving and growing with the Noosa community,” he said.
“We’ve only just begun, but the energy has been incredible, and we’re looking forward to many more great experiences with our guests.”
Peli’s is open for lunch and dinner from Thursday to Monday.
