Preliminary investigations indicate the 39-year-old was hit by a car on David Low Way at Diddilibah just before 2.30am on December 15.

The pedestrian was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious head and shoulder injuries. He remains in a critical condition in ICU.

It is believed the man left a service station on David Low Way at 2.19am and was walking east at the time of the incident.

The vehicle, believed to be a silver Holden Commodore sedan, drove away in an easterly direction.
