It’s Time to Tango – Bella Strong’s single release party
Local artist Bella Strong is officially announcing her release party for her highly anticipated single Two to Tango. Eighteen-year-old Strong made her debut in 2020 with pop/rock single Fall, making a splash in the industry with her powerful vocals and soulful lyrics. She is now announcing her return in the New Year with a fresh sound. With two surprise local opening acts, this show is everything you want for a perfect Friday night. Sunshine Coast Strength Novice Powerlifting Event

Beach Clean: Sea Shepherd Marine Debris Campaign
The Sunshine Coast Marine Debris Campaign team will be showing some love to Twin Waters at the North Shore dog beach this April. If you love the beach or the ocean, join their team and help #StemtheTide of plastic pollution in our oceans. BYO gloves are compulsory.

Mary Valley Rattler ANZAC Express
Gympie Station will relive its direct association with Australia’s war efforts by staging a dedicated ANZAC Express Train on Sunday 25 April. The ANZAC Express service will include lunch at historic Gympie Station, followed by a special train service aboard the Mary Valley Rattler to Amamoor. Passengers can get off at Amamoor Station and watch as the train is turned around on the revolving platform for the return journey to Gympie Station. The current Gympie Station opened in December 1913, just prior to World War 1 and was the send-off and return point for Diggers fighting in both World Wars. Hundreds of residents from the Gympie region volunteered for the Australian Imperial Expeditionary Force in World War 1.
When: Sunday 25 April. Lunch starts 11.45am, with the train departing at 1pm and returning at 4pm.
Tickets: for the return journey and two course lunch are available for $125 an adult and $60 a child (2 – 12). A special holiday express journey will also operate on the public holiday, Monday 26 April.

Hops & Horses Twilight Races
The Sunshine Coast Turf Club is planning for a bumper crowd to welcome in the Labour Day long weekend at this year’s Hops & Horses Friday Twilight Races. There will be a mix of Friday twilight racing, local craft brewers, food trucks along with fantastic live music from from Boom Crash Opera’s Dale Ryder and Taxiride’s Jason Singh performing after the last race.

Vera Blue Live featuring special guest Jarryd James
Australia’s Celia Pavey, better known as Vera Blue, is a lyrical singer/songwriter who combines her love of folk music with moody electronica. Pavey initially garnered attention after she finished in second place on The Voice Australia in 2013 and released her Top 20 ARIA-charting debut This Music.
Reimagining herself as Vera Blue, she returned with Perennial which included the double-platinum single Regular Touch. The electro pop powerhouse and her band will play fan favourites and latest release Lie To Me which was voted #68 in this year’s triple j Hottest 100 countdown.

‘Estampa’ Gypsy Jazz
Estampa is a World Folk Jazz quartet based in Brisbane which combines a unique blend of violin, voice, piano accordion, guitar and double bass. Evoking visions of Parisian laneways, South American sensuality, and the unbridled joy of European folk-music, Estampa delivers an energetic, internationally-inspired performance. The group features Rebecca Karlen on violin and vocals, Paul Henderson on guitar and John Reeves on piano accordion and Samuel Vincent on double bass.

Sunshine Coast Colour Frenzy
What better way to have fun with the family then adding lots of colour and laughter while doing a fun run (or walk). The goal is to raise money for animal rescues that do an incredible job at finding forever homes for lots of dogs, cats and all types of animals. The day aims to raise $5000 for local rescues and a combined $100,000 Australia wide. Help them by coming along and getting colourful.
