Local foodies have the opportunity to taste what will feature on the winter menu of a popular Sunshine Coast restaurant.
The Good Place Kawana will host an interactive Eat Good, Feel Good event on May 5 for guests to sample up to eight courses from the proposed seasonal menu, with feedback to help shape the menu set to launch in June.
The Good Place founder James McGovern says the event is about community connection, giving guests a chance to hear inspiring stories of local farmers, suppliers and winemakers whose products feature on the menu.
“Our mission is about providing good, wholesome and sustainably sourced food from local farmers and delivering it to the plates of Sunshine Coast locals,” he says.
“So we came up with the idea of this event as means to connect the local community with the amazing work these partners do in terms of sustainability and social responsibility.
“Every decision we make is made with community, health and sustainability at the forefront of our mind, and we’re hoping this event will help us tell this story and the stories of our partners.”
The Good Place, at 119 Point Cartwright Drive, opened in March last year and the venue is completely gluten free, making it a popular choice for those living with coeliac disease.
