Paint and Sip events are a great way to explore your creative side while having fun in a relaxed, encouraging environment. A resident local artist will show you step by step how to create the featured painting. All art materials are supplied including a 40cm x 50cm canvas for you to take home. No experience necessary. Come along for a great social afternoon of painting and creating while sipping on your favourite drink. This is an 18+ event and all drinks and nibbles are BYO.

Sunshine Coast Environment Council (SCEC) World Environment Day
Be part of #GenerationRestoration and join the Sunshine Coast Environment Council (SCEC) in launching the World Environment Day Festival 2021. This year’s theme is ecosystem restoration, and they are taking people on a journey throughout ecosystems across the Sunshine Coast. The launch at the Doonan Creek Environmental Reserve will occur on the United Nations’ World Environment Day. This is a family friendly event and you will have the opportunity to contribute to restoring an ecosystem by planting trees and learning about the conservation practices of the area.

Melony’s Drag Queen Bingo Paw Patrol Cambodia Fundraiser
Welcome back the Bingo Queen of the Sunshine Coast, Melony Brests, and her right hand gal Sall Monalla, as they bring the original, Melony’s Drag Queen Bingo back to Lazy River Noosaville. With some not-so-normal bingo games full of cheeky innuendo and hysterical call outs, plus fabulous spot drag shows and crazy prizes, it’s a ball-dropping good time.
And it’s for a great cause too; all proceeds from the bingo book and raffle ticket sales are going to help Paw Patrol Cambodia. If you haven’t yet seen a Melony’s Drag Queen Bingo show, you shouldn’t miss this.

Bluebone Live at Whispers
Bluebone is a one-man band loop artist project. Heavily inspired by Jeff Buckley and the Red Hot Chili Peppers he went on to discover the art of looping after being introduced to the brilliant Tash Sultana. Live shows consist of funky blues loop-driven originals and cover interpretations ranging from Nina Simone to Sublime. Hosted by Whispers Cocktail and Lounge Bar, a modern-day spin of a golden era, offering fine cuisine and gourmet meals, lavish late night desserts, exotic cocktails and 120+ bourbons. Children Collide – UH OH Tour

Heralded as one of Australia’s great Blues and Roots performers Ash Grunwald will be hitting the road performing songs from his nine studio albums, three live albums, and his newly released Push The Blues Away with Josh Teskey. Ash Grunwald is an advocate of the earth and his music is an eddy of influences, collaborations and mediums. His voice through his lyrics, podcast and broadcasting asks for the protection of land, sea, river, self and resources.

The Gladiator trailrunning event
Celebrate National Italian Day and embrace your inner Gladiator. The beautiful trails have proved very popular so this year we’ve made it even better with three distances to choose from. The 8km, 15km and 21km are suitable for those new to trails, as well as the seasoned runner. Test your strength tackling Goliath (Wild Horse Mountain) and see if you know your Roman numerals. Come dressed as an inspired Gladiator and get the opportunity to lead the peasants through the Colosseum and out onto the trail. Afterwards enjoy some yummy Italian treats and coffee.

No More Fake Smiles in conjunction with The Wharf Mooloolaba are hosting a night of fun and laughter to give a voice to child victims of sexual abuse and raise much-needed funds for their therapy. Enjoy a fabulous three-course Italian dining experience and drink upon arrival, including cheese wheel pasta made before your very eyes by talented chefs of Il Vento. Live entertainment and surprises, including the hilarious Christian Lutz who featured at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, will entertain guests throughout the evening in a warehouse-style atmosphere upstairs at The Wharf Mooloolaba.

Wetlands ClimateWatch Walk – record the change
Join guides from the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary and contribute to a global citizen science project to track key plants and animals. The Sanctuary is the site of a ClimateWatch trail. ClimateWatch is a citizen science project that aims to record how changes in temperature and rainfall are affecting the seasonal behaviour of Australia’s plants and animals. The guides will assist you to identify indicator species and to use the ClimateWatch App so you can contribute to this important project. Internet connection at the Wetland Sanctuary is poor so be sure to download the free app prior to arrival.

Jazz and Blues Collective presents All You Need is Love
The Jazz and Blues Collective’s next special guest will be Queensland’s award-winning jazz vocalist, Ingrid James, who has been described as an artist who can move gracefully between traditional jazz and soulful blues with a powerful, yet sultry, vocal resonance. She is also described as “someone who does not appear to follow the style or phrasing of any of the jazz divas – she is a one off in her own right” (Folkestone Jazz Club, UK). Celebrate the incredible melodies from the 30s to the 60s/70s – from Cole Porter and Carlos Jobim to The Beatles and Beach Boys. These timeless melodies will be given the Jazz and Blues Collective magical mystery jazz treatment.
