The inaugural Pumicestone Rocks mini music festival hit the right note at Pelican Waters, with hundreds of people getting into the groove of the family event.

Hamish Pressland, general manager of development at Pelican Waters, hailed the event an outstanding success with the live music, food trucks and kids’ activities going down a treat for the huge turnout.

“The community feedback was terrific. Families strolled down or rode their bikes, spread out their blankets and enjoyed excellent music and fabulous atmosphere,” he said.

“We hope to make it an annual event.”

Held at Central Park, on Pelican Waters’ new island precinct, Pumicestone Rocks featured the fine sounds of Grumpy Old Men, Creedence Clearwater Remembered and Mismo Tempo.

The event was sponsored by Pelican Waters, Henzells Agency, the Golden Beach and Pelican Waters Community Association, Henzell Property Group, the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce and Oaktree Group.
