“Most of our students don’t take formal dance lessons outside of school and this result is a credit to all involved for their dedication, before school, at lunchtime and on weekends.”

The school dance program provides opportunities for participation, fun, growth and performance for all students from Prep-Year 6.

During this term, each class from Prep to Year 6 prepares its own dance to a different theme each year, culminating in a community showcase, Caloundra State School’s Dance Extravaganza.

“We see this as something really important for our students.” Bopf said.

“We see the confidence children gain from learning a new routine and then performing on stage.”

Caloundra State School is accepting enrolments of students in all year levels from Prep to Year 6. More information is available via the school website www.caloundrass.eq.edu.au.
