Members and supporters of Caloundra Veterans Golf Club have raised much-needed funds for men’s health.

The club held their annual fundraising day for Prostate cancer research and the Sunshine Coast Prostate Cancer Support Group, on November 12.

Inclement weather limited the action on the course but attendees were still able to raise and donate $3500 to the the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Sunshine Coast Prostate Cancer Support Group.

This was thanks to the support of corporate sponsors La Promenade Café, Format Kitchens, Henzells Agency, Sharmans Investigations, Poole and Partners Investment Services and Coastline BMW.

Club president Richard McKenzie said the annual event was an important one on the club’s calendar and it’s been held during the past six or seven years.

The event includes a game of golf, a light lunch and the presentation of money to both organisations.
