Seventeen Sunshine Coast community groups, including an historic surf club, will share in more than $360,000 in State Government funding.

The funding, from Round 111 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, is set to help not-for-profit groups provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Queensland communities.

State Member for Maroochydore Fiona Simpson was excited to see six community groups from within the region will receive combined funding of $159,000.

It’s a welcome boost for the groups after another difficult year.
