Today’s economic environment means we need to recognise that it’s vital for us
to retain employees – by managing them well and keeping the good ones!

Some people managers think of retention as just having to create a competitive salary structure, add in a couple of employee benefits or maybe throwing in some training to keep everyone happy.

In today’s workplace this is not the case. As employees:

• we want to be happy coming to work;
• we want our workplace culture to be aligned with ours;
• we need flexibility;
• we want inclusiveness and collaboration;
• we need to have context as to why we are there and how our roles contribute to the company’s objectives – its bottom line.
